Quality, consistency & compliance

Thermoforming is a craft process. What makes it repeatable is a proved tool, an approved first article and operators who have run the material for years, that is what our quality system is built on.

Process control

Six checkpoints between sheet and shipment

Incoming sheet check

Every reel or sheet lot is checked for gauge, colour and surface finish before it goes near a machine. Material is bought from established suppliers, and food-grade or anti-static grades are ordered specifically against your requirement.

Tool proving

New tooling is proved on the machine it will run on. We look at draw, corner thinning, venting marks and trim line before any sample leaves the plant.

First-article approval

You receive samples for fit, stacking, sealing and line trials. Nothing goes into production until that sample is signed off, it becomes the reference for every later batch.

In-process checks

Operators check pocket dimensions, depth, flange flatness and trim quality at set intervals through the run, and at every material or shift change.

Visual & count verification

Formed parts are inspected for scuffs, webbing, thin corners and trim burrs, then counted into cartons against the packing specification.

Dispatch record

Each dispatch is recorded with quantity, material and date so a query months later can be traced back to a batch.

Vendor onboarding often asks for specific certificates or test reports. Tell us exactly what your process requires at the enquiry stage and we will confirm in writing what we can supply, we would rather say so up front than surprise you at audit.

Tolerances

Being straight about what forming can hold

Vacuum forming does not hold injection-moulding tolerances, and any supplier who says otherwise is setting you up for a rejection. Wall thickness varies with draw depth; formed dimensions move slightly with material shrinkage and cooling.

What we do instead is agree achievable tolerances on your drawing before tooling, prove them on the first article, and hold the process to that sample. Where a critical dimension must be exact, a snap-fit lip, a locating boss, a sealed flange, we design the tool and trim fixture around that feature specifically.

Using less plastic is also good engineering

Thermoforming produces a clean, single-polymer trim skeleton. Kept separated, that is a recyclable stream rather than waste, and the same discipline that reduces scrap reduces your piece price.
