Service 01

Thermoforming & vacuum forming

Sheet is heated to its forming temperature, drawn over or into an aluminium tool under vacuum, cooled to hold shape and trimmed to profile. Simple in principle, and entirely dependent on tool design, heat profile and operator judgement, which is where three decades of practice shows.

  • Roll forming, four automatic machines, reel-fed, 0.15 to 2.0 mm, ideal for blisters, clamshells, food and display trays at volume
  • Sheet forming, three semi-automatic machines, 1.0 to 6.0 mm, for thick industrial trays, covers and load-bearing parts
  • Trimming, hydraulic roller trimming for burr-free flanges; punching, routing and hand trim for thick or complex profiles
  • Finishing, pocket checks, stack tests, counting and packing to your carton specification

Blister packs, cards & clamshells

Retail packaging has to do three jobs at once: show the product, survive the supply chain and open the way the customer expects. We form the clear half of that equation in rigid PVC, APET and GPET.

  • Face-seal and full-card blisters, standing blisters and folded blister boxes
  • Flat-flange trays for lidding film and heat-sealed unit-dose packs
  • Hinged clamshells with formed snap locks, hang holes and stacking lugs
  • Anti-scuff detailing and gauge selection to stop shelf-worn packs

Service 03

Mould design & in-house tooling

The tool decides the part. Ours are designed and made here, which is why a revision takes days rather than the weeks an external toolroom queue costs.

  • Aluminium tools for production volumes, durable, good heat transfer, multi-cavity
  • MDF tools for prototypes, seasonal packs and short runs at lower tooling cost
  • Design for forming, draft angles, corner radii, rib placement, venting and nesting worked out before cutting metal
  • Stored and maintained, your tool is kept ready for repeat orders

Tooling is a one-time cost quoted separately from the piece price. We will tell you honestly whether MDF is enough for your quantity.

Custom pack development

Most of our work starts with a part, not a drawing of a tray. We look at how it is handled, stacked, sealed and shipped, then design packaging around that.

  • Material and gauge selection against load, temperature, clarity and food contact
  • Cavity layout for counting, nesting and cubic efficiency in your carton or bin
  • Sample rounds until fit, stacking and line trials pass
  • Documented first article so later batches can be checked against it

Up to approximately 1000 × 1200 mm depending on machine and depth of draw.

Tolerances

Thermoforming holds looser tolerances than injection moulding. We agree achievable tolerances on your drawing before tooling, and hold them against the approved first article.

Order sizes

From 500 pieces. Repeat schedules and call-off quantities are welcome once a tool exists.
